GET READY FOR CINCO DE MAYO!

Shelby from Nesting On Oleander has posted this delicious recipe for Barbacoa Tacos on her blog and I’m so excited to share with you!  I think these would be PERFECT for Cinco De Mayo….or basically any other day!  I could eat Mexican food all day, every day! Plus, you can cook these in your slow cooker to free up some time while you make queso dip…and margaritas! 😉

Be sure to head over to Nesting On Oleander and check out her recipe along with the rest of her beautiful blog! Enjoy!

Game Day Appetizers!

Are you planning to host or attend a party for the big game this weekend?  I’m sharing a few appetizers that are tried and true here at my house that you could make.  Whatever your plans, I hope you have a fun and safe time and if your team is playing – hope they win 😉

rollup1Zesty Tortilla Roll Ups from Amy @ Sing For Your Supper!

I’ve made these roll-ups for just about every party we’ve had for the past couple of years and they are always a hit!  There are many varieties of roll-ups out there but these are my favorite!

These stuffed mushrooms were an idea given to me by my friend, Jamie one day before a birthday party & they have been a staple at every party since.

And another from PW because well….just about everything she makes is amazing!  Bring your usual cheese dip up a notch or two, with this yummy version!

Did your favorite team make it to the big game this year or do you just not really care about football & plan to just shop or watch the cute Puppy Bowl instead?  Whatever your plans are, I hope you give these appetizers a try!

Cookies For Santa!

Are you baking cookies for Santa tomorrow?  I just wanted to share what the kids and I make every year – Santa Cookies!  I can’t take credit for these – Amy from Sing For Your Supper shared this recipe and it’s always a hit with Santa! 😉  Let me know what you are baking for Christmas and if Santa and his reindeer get anything yummy for Christmas!

I’ve shared a recipe from her blog before – Zesty Tortilla Roll-Ups. These would be nice as an appetizer for Christmas or Christmas Eve!

Simple & easy recipes for Game Day!

Although, my favorite team (Tampa Bay Bucs) didn’t come close to being in the Super Bowl this year…or last year, or the year before (whatever!) we still love to watch football & I’m excited to host a little party at our home this year!  We have a couple of families coming over and plan to just snack throughout the entire event.  That is one of the best things about watching the game, especially when your team isn’t playing 🙁

One of our friends is bringing over wings (YUM!) & my husband asked if I could make some appetizers/dips too.  I’m sharing some things I’m planning to make & some I think would be perfect for a game day!
